Webinar Centering Innovation - Adapting the Centering Model for Cancer Survivors, 5.11.18
Description

Kathy Trotter, DNP, CNM, FNP is in active clinical practice at Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center in Durham, NC. She has led Cancer Survivor group care for 7 years, and more recently has added groups for women at high risk for breast cancer. She is currently studying anxiety levels before group and after. The cancer survivor groups were well received by the patients, and showed financial sustainability. Dr. Trotter is happy to share her experiences with everyone. One thing she learned from the groups was that the men wanted to sit in circle and have group care for their prostate cancer follow-up too! Cancer Survivorship groups are ideal way to address patients long term side effect post treatment, as well as provide support and education.

We have found that these discussions are more engaging and productive when every participant joins in from a video capable computer or mobile device. If you don't have video capability on your computer, you can join in using a cell phone or tablet and download the Zoom app to get audio and visual connections. Thank you!
