Webinar Integrating Behavioral Health in a Group Visit
Description

Join Lynn Scheidenhelm, LCSW, and Katherine McGuiness, MPH, MSW, to discuss the intricacies of integrating behavioral health specialists in your Centering group visits. Discussion topics will include how providing a safe space in your groups enhances more in-depth assessment of social determinates of health, and the building of healthy self management and self-care skills for your patients.

Lynn, an LCSW, joined CHI as a Centering Consultant in 2007 and, in 2018, took on a new position as Director of Innovation. She worked as a Behavioral Health Clinical Manager at Clinica Family Health Services, an FQHC in Boulder, CO, for over 28 years. She has been leading In-House Trainer Preparation Workshops since they started at CHI over 4 years ago.

Katherine McGuiness, MPH, MSW is a Centering Consultant based out of Portland, Oregon. Previously, she worked in public health at the state and county level, led a healthcare access non-profit, and was a domestic violence counselor. She also teaches classes at the Portland State University Graduate School of Social Work and does organizing and activism work in her local community and on a national level.

We have found that these discussions are more engaging and productive when every participant joins in from a video capable computer or mobile device. If you don't have video capability on your computer, you can download the Zoom app on your phone and access video and audio options from your phone. You can also join in from your cell or tablet. Thank you!
