Join Wendy Pecoraro and Stevie Jelden from Omaha Integrative Careto discuss an innovative Centering mindful lifestyle group that functions to support folks who live with a BMI of 30 or over. The group focuses on a shift in the way participants think of food, exercise, stressors, relationships and sleep and how they all fit together to build a foundation to support overall health and well-being.
Stevie graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with her bachelor’s degree in Public Health. She is currently the Marketing and Community Relations Lead at OIC’s and uses her background in health promotion and marketing to integrate all services at OIC and educate the community through blogs, newsletters, social media management, and corporate presentations. She is also an RYT-200 yoga and meditation teacher that she uses to facilitate mindful breath and movement within OIC.
Wendy Pecoraro is a Family Nurse Practitioner with a post-masters in Wellness and Health Promotion and a Certification in Lifestyle Medicine. Wendy’s practice is based on the Integrative Care Model, which is an approach that addresses the full range of physical, emotional, mental, social, spiritual, and environmental influences that affect a person’s health. She is also a contributing author and editor for The Integrative Practitioner and co-facilitator of the Omaha Chapter of the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine.
